New Idea :)

Soooo I was kind of thinking of making Youtube videos of some book reviews. They won't be the same book reviews as I do here, so it will be a few book reviews on my blog and a few book reviews on my youtube channel :)
Some youtubers only make videos to make money but I sort of don't because sometimes I feel as though I can be connected more to you guys.

Let me know what you think of the idea and I will start making videos as soon as I can. :)

Mockingjay - Book Review

I have finally read the third and final book of the Hunger Games series, Mockingjay. Katniss escaped the Quarter Quell alive but, the Capitol has captured Peeta as prisoner. Katniss and the Command team from District 13 work out how to get into the Capitol w/o being killed. As Mockingjay, Katniss mustn't show sadness, only fierceness and anger towards the Capitol, so they will be the ones who are afraid of the rebels.

"IF WE BURN
YOU BURN WITH US"

Cover
Sunset - orange. Guess whose favourite colour that is. A Mockingjay feather. Perfect for Katniss' appearance.

Characters
Peeta is well and alive, as always. But he isn't the same when Katniss sees him. Gale is much stronger and probably more wise now that he's in the Command team in District 13. Katniss is still the same but trying to be much stronger for her role, the Mockingjay.

Plot
Katniss wants Peeta back, the proper Peeta. Unfortunately she can't do anything to help him most the time because he loses his temper, the Capitol has obviously tortured him a lot. Attacking the Capitol isn't easy when there are thousands of peacekeepers surrounding the area. And when I mean peacekeepers are surrounding the area, I mean the whole area.

KATNISS EVERDEEN'S FINAL BATTLE HAS BEGUN.

Honestly, I imagined this story so differently the way Collins wrote it. It's still an amazing book don't get me wrong but it just wasn't what I expected.
I guess Catching Fire is my favourite out of the three books. :)

4.5/5 Mockingjays :)

Catching Fire - Book Review

So, this year it's the 75th Hunger Games, or if the Capitol may like to present every 25 years, the Quarter Quell. 24 winning tributes from the past Hunger Games are nominated to compete once again in the Hunger Games Quarter Quell. Same rules apply, one female and male must be chosen at tributes from each district to be in the Quarter Quell. Obviously, Katniss Everdeen, the only female alive has to compete with...the chosen person, Haymitch but then Peeta volunteers for his position to look after Katniss. Haymitch, as Katniss' and Peeta's mentor, tells them to make some friends or allies.
Since the last Hunger Games, the Capitol is still pretty angry with Katniss about what she did in the end.
In the Quarter Quell, people die; loved ones and friends and sacrifices are made for Katniss and Peeta to win once again against the Capitol.

Katniss Everdeen survived the Hunger Games.
Now the Capitol. Wants revenge.

Cover
The book that I own is different to the new version ones. I have the purple covered ones, so I'll just share my opinion on the cover that I have;  The bird on the middle doesn't really seem relevant to the actual book/story.

Characters
There are new characters in Catching Fire, if there weren't it'd be pretty boring but the characters are all very well described and had awesome personalities. One of the new characters; Finnick, is my favourite. I pictured him so good in my head. ;)

Plot
This is about the 75th Hunger Games but every 25 years, the Capitol presents the Quarter Quell, an edition of the Hunger Games. They do this because it's pretty much a celebration 'anniversary' of the districts' defeat of the Capitol. In the Quarter Quell, the Capitol adds a little twist that makes it so dangerous and intense, but so amusing for the Capitol. And as for the tributes, they have a little twist up their sleeves for the Capitol.

This book...is probably my favourite of all 3, not only because of Finnick Odair but also because of all the intense moments in the book.

4.9/5 Finnick Odairs ;)

I'd give it a 5/5 but just the cover that I have just lowers the rating.. :\

Tiger's Voyage - Book Review

At the end of Tiger's Quest, Ren was saved from Kelsey and Kishan from the torture he went through with the evil Lokesh. But bad news for Kelsey, he's physically and mentally in pan whenever she's around, now she's depressed with the fact she can't go near the guy she loves but is still determined to help Ren and Kishan break the curse. Mr Kadam helps Kelsey and Kishan break the next prophecy they must go through while Ren is recovering; They must face the dragons in the Indian Ocean. Each dragon has their own 'test' they must go through and each task gets more difficult with some pretty dangerous obstacles and booby-traps(haha booby) and while Kelsey grows closer to Kishan, her decision between the brothers is even more difficult.

Cover
The cover for this just pretty much gives you an overall idea what the book is about, which is one of the things I like about books.

Characters
So in this book, you kind of discover Ren's 'dark' side or maybe 'most hated' side. Personally, Ren was quite irritating from the way he treats everyone. Kishan's character just made me love him even more to be honest.
If i had to say, one of the dragons from the quests is my favourite. I won't say which one but he's the wise one or the most generous one out all dragons.

Plot
This part of the series focuses on the 'Dragon Quest' the the Goddess Durga gave Kelsey, Kishan and Ren.
They all visit the five dragons at different islands and complete or outsmart each and every dragon. These dragons are possibly a thousand years old, not sure but, Kelsey is in that hard position to choose between the brothers once again.

This book would be recommended for teens that like maybe intense moments or moments that are totally worth reading.

Rate
3.5/5 Dragons :)
