Tiger's Quest - Book Review

At the end of the first book, Tiger's Curse, Ren and Kelsey's relationship broke down and ruined. She is quite convinced that he wants to look for 'better' girls now that he can be a human 6 hours a day.
Kelsey tries to pick up pieces while settling back down to her original life in Oregon. She has started going to Uni and even going out on dates but none of the boys compare to her Tiger Prince. It's not happily ever after yet for Kelsey, there is always danger right around the corner, just forcing her to go back to India to begin on the new quest that the Goddess Durga has set for her.

Cover
On the cover of the second book, Tiger's Quest, is Ren's brother, Kishan; who I personally have always loved. It seems a bit strange that his brother, Ren, is white and blue and Kishan is black with a bit of brown but, I guess that how Colleen Houck actually wanted the tiger's to be looked like. It kind of gives away their type of personality.

Characters
The way that Ren acts in this book is so stupid! But I just love how he can 'hide' away his feelings after all that has happened. Kishan has become the 'good guy' if you ask me, he is always there for her. Kishan obviously loves her. Colleen Houck made me really understand how Kelsey really felt when things went wrong in India and how she tried to forget him and everything, it was sad.

Plot
The whole idea was to continue Kelsey's adventure in Oregon and India, just everywhere! More action has been put into place, so that means more danger Kelsey is in. No where is safe for her when Lokesh's army is pretty much hidden in every place you can think of.

This book would be recommended for action people and breathtaking moments <3

5/5 Tigers :)

Tiger's Curse - Book Review

When Kelsey takes a two-week job at a small travelling circus after graduation, she's excited about the idea of taking care of a tiger, but not as excited as she is when the tiger is sold to a very rich Indian man, Mr Kadam and he's asked to travel with him - at least until he makes it to a nature preserve. There's a reason why Kelsey feels so bonded with the tiger. She has somehow broken a small part of a curse; Three hundred years ago an Indian prince named Dhiren was cursed to live as a tiger but, whenever Kelsey is near, he can reveal his true self. He's free to be a man for 24 minutes each day and needs Kelsey's help to break the rest of the curse. She is then favoured by the Hindu Goddess Durga who sends them on one of four dangerous tasks.

Cover
So the cover of this book, Tiger's Curse, is a bit obvious what it's about. You can kind of predict what will happen in the story. Which is true though.

Characters
The characters in this story are amazing. I just wished all of them were real. This was all in Kelsey's point of view what was happening though, so you could obviously tell how well the author has described her feelings in every situation.

Plot
It seemed like a dream coming true for me. Mainly the whole story was beginning to be like the Twilight movie but it isn't really. Colleen Houck wasn't very focused on the 'love', she was making the reader more interested in the danger ahead of the characters. She also added a background story for all of this to happen, so like, in a few bits she mentions what happened about the tiger and the history.

I really recommend this book for anyone that likes tigers or any like Indian history stuff.

4.8/5 Tigers :)

The Hunger Games - Book Review

The Hunger Games takes place in North America where it has been destroyed and now ran by the Capitol and divided into 12 districts. There was once District 13 but was destroyed from a rebellion.
In District 12, ace hunter, 16 year old, Katniss Everdeen, tries to keep her family alive. Her little sister Primrose and her widowed mother. For all 12 districts to keep running, the Capitol arranges a game...A death game with 24 people from the ages 12 to 18. Two people, a girl and a boy, from each district are chosen to become tributes in The Hunger Games.
When her sister is picked, Katniss quickly volunteers for her to become the girl tribute. Along with Katniss, Peeta, a baker's son, is chosen as the boy tribute from District 12.
Katniss and Peeta must defend themselves from the Capitol's death traps and the murderous tributes.
The tributes either kill or be killed.

The World Will Be Watching

Cover
The cover of The Hunger Games book actually really suites the story very well.

Characters
All of the characters had quite different personalities and I love how Suzanne describes them in great detail. As this story was in Katniss' point of view, I felt like I was there with her every moment. It also seemed like it was a reality T.V show, if you have watched the movie of course.

Plot
Like I said before, it seemed like a reality T.V show, but all in a book. You just have to picture everything in your head which was quite easy for me. The situation that Katniss and Peeta were put in was quite intense them and I really didn't want to stop reading. Just every other line it made me want to read more to find out what is going to happen next.

I really recommend this book who likes heaps of action and almost-like-reality-type.

5/5 Mocking Jays :)
