Vampire Academy - Book Review

I know, finally. I literally finished this in 3 days, it was that good.
There are two runaways from St. Vladimir's Academy (boarding school for vampires), a guardian in training Rosemarie or Rose Hathaway and the Moroi princess Vasilisa or Lissa. They were finally captured and taken back to the academy after two years of hiding. There are a few types of vampires at this academy; Damphirs, powerful, human looking and half human and half vampire, Moroi, royal, pure blood drinking vampires. There's also another type of vampire, fortunately don't attend to St. Vladimir's Academy. They're the ones to fear in the vampire world, they hide away from the sunlight but you wouldn't believe how powerful they are at night. They're called Strigori.

Cover
The cover isn't bad but not exactly the way I wanted it to be after reading the book. It still relates to the whole story though. :)

Characters
All the characters are so different in a really unique way. Rose, who's a total bad-arse at the Academy, she always gets in trouble for either throwing a punch or being 'smart'. She's supposed to be Lissa's guardian until she gets assigned to someone else. Lissa on the other hand, is the probably the nicest person at the academy, after her family being killed in a car crash, she's supposed to take place in the Dragomir throne. And then there's Dimitri, he's Rose's personal trainer which is amazing because he's just gorgeous but way older than her which is a shame because we'd be the perfect couple...I mean, Rose and Dimitri..

Plot
This story focuses on Rose's life through training as a guardian for her royal best friend, Lissa. They're really inseparable, especially when they ran away. Now that they're back, seems like a lot has changed with the popularity and the people. Especially the people. Rose goes through a really hard time because of her teacher-crush, her admirer at school who she really takes him as a best friend, her anger management at 'some' people at school.

I loved this book. Dimitri is amazingly gorgeous. That is all. :)

5/5 Vampires <3

Last Known Victim - Book Review

For a police captain Patti O'Shay, the discovery of a dead body is shocking, but part of the job.
A dead body with the right hand is disturbing.
But when a corpse is discovered with the police badge of her murdered husband, she is pushed over the edge.
Driven by revenge and working outside the law. Patti vows to track the monster responsible. But as the killings continue, it becomes clear that she is not the hunter - but the hunted.

"HURRICANE - SAVAGED NEW ORLEANS HAS A NEW DARK FORCE TO FEAR..."

Cover
You could obviously tell it's a crime/action book because of the title, the blood and the font of the title.

Characters
Captain Patti O'Shay, an aunt, a cop and is now widowed from the death of her husband. She's assigned to a case that could put everyone in danger, including herself. Her nephew and co-worker, Spencer, has known Patti long enough to know that she's up to something and it isn't good.

Plot
Captain Patti O'Shay 's husband was murdered two years ago, but she is still haunted by the fact that she hasn't been able to find who that killer is. So she goes undercover with her 'personal' detectives and look at every clue she can find. O'Shay finds a woman who is slightly connected to the murder from receiving notes by a mysterious 'admirer'. More victims are suspected.

Keep your friends close but, keep your enemies closer.

Honestly, this book was good but it's easily predicted but you wouldn't really know how it's turn out anyway...If that makes sense :\

3.5/5 Dead Bodies. -.-'
